I know this is long over due, but really is january already gone? Anyway it was so different this year! Being on our own for Christmas was a whole new thing for us. It was so hard to be away from all of our family, but we still felt the true spirit of Christmas, and actually got to see some family for New Years!
Zane says he feels jipped, because of course the first time that we actually have real jobs the holidays are on the weekends so we didn't really get any time off! But we made up for the little time we had, and packed in it with as much "vacation" stuff as we could.
Christmas eve we went down the road to Winter Park and watched the Torchlight Parade at the ski hill, it was incredible!
Then we came back to our home, watched It's a Wonderful Life, sang some songs, read Christmas time stories and Luke 2 and then tried to sleep. We told ourselves that we wouldn't get up until 7:30 but at around 7 we realized there was not point in trying to go back to sleep. Especially since we knew Santa had come!
Then we went to church at our little branch and enjoyed all the beautiful music and messages that were shared on the true meaning of Christmas. Christmas was just great.
Then New Years! And the best part... Heidi and Madison came!!!
We just partied, went night skiing and ate a ton of awesome food! It was pretty much a blast. It was awesome holiday time, january has just flown by and I can't believe that it's already February!
Love getting a peek into your new lives! It looks like so much fun :) Really glad your holidays were great and that madison and heidi could come! And i'm loving the new years get-up. Awesome :)
